Reminder, after our workout at 9am is our Strongman informal event from 10am-1pm! For anyone and everyone, come have some fun learning and experimenting with some new skills and movements, in a no pressure atmosphere! This will be informal but will have coaches on hand to lead and instruct through some challenging movements! We’ll delve into the fine art of pushing, pulling, carrying, and loading things! Bring a snack and some ambition!
Hey family, there has been a huge response of support for fellow friend, brother, crossfitter, gymnast, and special needs teacher, Nick Hostler from CrossFit RTB, suddenly passing at the age of 35, on May 30, 2018. Many either may be uncomfortable going to another gym, do not know where RTB is, have the time available, or may not know Nick, yet still want to honor him.
CrossFit RTB has given us permission for these reasons above, so we will be doing his memorial WOD at CFR for the 9am workout. They are very supportive of this. It will be treated like a Hero workout, where we come together showing strength and support for their CrossFit community and the friends and family affected by this, as we have many in our CFR community as well.
After the morning workout, if you have a chance later in the day, the doors to RTB will be open for a silent auction and bake sale until 5PM, where you can make donations to the Nick Hostler Memorial Fund which will offer educational scholarships to children with special needs. Nick’s true passion was working with the special needs community so ALL proceeds will go to that community.

*After 18 minutes is up, everyone will run 1983 meters together to finish up.
*Coaches – due to needing 2 bars and plenty of weight, based on size of the class, have teams start on different movements and share barbells accordingly to keep everything moving
*Scale squat snatch with either a power snatch + overhead squat OR just a power snatch based on your abilities
*Scale Bar MUs with 2:1 chest to bar pullups, pullups, jumping pullups or banded pullups
*Scale handstand walk as RTB is scaling it based on room, with 35 stationary overhead lunges with a 45/35 plate or dumbbell 50/35 overhead
