I absolutely love being a part of the CrossFit Republic family and I am honored to be coaching in the CFR FitKids program!
I grew up in the small town of Auburn, New Hampshire and I had always known my future would involve working with children. In 2002, I graduated from Evangel University with my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Early Childhood Special Education. After college, I married my amazing husband, Russell, and officially moved to Missouri in October 2002. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in Springfield. The following four years I taught in an ECSE classroom. I then taught one year in a Lower Elementary ED/BD classroom before being blessed with my four beautiful daughters. After staying home with my girls for eight years, I taught part-time preschool and now have the privilege of homeschooling my girls. I tutor in our homeschool community and I am very involved in the Early Childhood and Elementary areas of my church. I am so thankful for the opportunities to do what I do!
I joined CrossFit Republic in May 2016 after a friend had been trying to convince me to come for over eight months. Although I was intimidated, my only regret is not joining sooner! It has been life changing! I am healthier, stronger and so much more confident in and out of the gym. I have also been incredibly blessed by the friendships and family I have gained!
I have been the Childcare Coordinator for CFR since March 2017 and now have the honor of being a CFR FitKids coach! I am excited to be a part of this amazing program that promotes a healthy & active lifestyle for the kids in our community!
